Travel that leaves something behind.
Vivere journeys are designed to create meaningful, lasting impact for the animals, communities, and local organizations we work alongside.
Impact starts locally.
We don't arrive with a predetermined agenda and work in isolation.
Vivere partners with local veterinary and animal welfare organizations that understand the needs of their own communities. We bring veterinary skills, resources, education, and support while working alongside the people already doing the work.
For our Ecuador journeys, we partner with Amici Cannis and local Ecuadorian veterinary professionals.

Your trip can do more than take you somewhere.
up to 40%
For the Ecuador HVSN Training Retreat, up to 40% of the trip cost is donated directly to Amici Cannis.
That means your participation helps support the organization and its ongoing work in Ecuador while you learn, travel, and experience the country.

Surgical care
Vivere participants provide hands-on veterinary care alongside local professionals, with a focus on appropriate surgical, anesthetic, safety, and patient-care standards.

Community outreach
Journeys can include field-based veterinary outreach such as vaccinations and health checks for local animals, connecting clinical skills with the needs of the broader community.

The relationship doesn't end when the plane leaves.
A meaningful veterinary journey shouldn't be measured only by what happens during the trip.
Vivere aims to build relationships with organizations and communities that continue beyond a single visit. Participants leave with a deeper understanding of the people doing this work locally—and opportunities to continue supporting them long after returning home.

Helping should never mean lowering the standard.
Vivere believes responsible international veterinary work includes responsible medicine.
We don't accept lower standards simply because we are working somewhere different. Patient comfort, appropriate anesthesia, safety, sterility, thoughtful medical decision-making, and respect for local veterinary professionals remain important wherever the work takes place.

Every community is different.
The work will change from journey to journey.
Some destinations may focus on surgical care. Others may involve education, community outreach, shelter medicine, conservation, or supporting local veterinary organizations.
What remains consistent is the commitment to working with local partners and creating impact that is useful—not simply visible.
